A week ago I have finish a study of the use of Social Networks by companies in the IBEX 35. Only one of these companies (Acciona) has a coherent and planned strategy to use Social Networks from the point of view of HR.
Other companies rarely use their Facebook page or Twitter to recruit candidates. In other cases, HR consultants take advantage of this channel, using their private profiles, to help themselves at work.
And this last case reminds me a funny story.
I laughed a lot at a recent job interview. The profile was clearly my own. Everythingwas fine until she made the ominous question: How much do you want?
So I said the money and the interview ended abruptly. She said to me: we’ll call you soon, thank you very much.
But the consultant who interviewed me shortly tweeted: ”Looking for Social Media expert with …”. With my profile.
I know she never will call me, I know. But I know itthrough Twitter.
